Synchroon (Synchronous) is an intimate documentary by director Sophie van Bree. It was made with support from the GoShort Film Festival Nijmegen. I jumped in to help Sophie with her edit for about a week and acted as an additional set of eyes. I also took care of the online edit and mastering.

The film is an intimate portrait about love and the other side of its coin: grief. The grandchild/director looks at her grandparent’s unending love with an idealistic point of view. When her grandfather dies she decides to look for answers to all of her love-related questions by filming her grandma. What happens when you’re together all your lives and the love of your life dies? Where does the love go?

POSTER

Poster for the film 'Synchroon'. It shows a close-up of an old woman in profile. She's looking to the left of the poster, the background is a dark green. She's wearing glasses and looks a bit sad. On the bottom are the film's title and credits. In the upper left corner is the logo for GoShort International Film Festival.
