ABOUT ME

Portrait picture of me, Eva. I'm a white young woman with henna-dyed dark auburn wavy hair, cut in a wolf cut with lots of layers and blunt curtain bangs. I'm wearing dark green rimmed glasses, and I have my head leaning on my propped up right hand. On my right underarm is a tattoo visible of lily-of-the-valley flowers with little ghosts as the blooms. I'm sitting in front of a dark green background, and I'm wearing a black t-shirt, with two gold necklaces.

Hi, I’m Eva Plompen and I am an Amsterdam based film editor.

I graduated from the Netherlands Film Academy in Editing in 2019, where I was educated in documentary, fiction and commercial editing. Since then, I have been working as a freelance film editor.

At this point in my career, I am most interested in telling stories – both in fiction and documentary – about people, community and connection. The subjects could be of a big scope (activism, politics, societal change) or intimate (love, friendship). I love period dramas and portrait films, poetic documentaries and dialogue editing. Another big interest of mine is music videos.

Since 2023, I am part of a collective of editors who share a studio space under the name ‘De Fix’. The other editors are Stanley Kolk, NCE, Moek de Groot, NCE, Nikki Gorissen, Wies Hundling, Kim Meeuwissen and Lise Robbe.
