Elisabeth is the second short documentary assignment I had in my second year at the Netherlands Film Academy. The assignment was to make a five minute documentary about a person. The director, Hannah van Tassel, had to find someone through a newspaper article and ended up with Elisabeth Fisher-Spanjer.

The film is a slow-paced observational documentary, showing the 101-year-old Elisabeth Fisher-Spanjer in her natural habitat: her home. While it is obvious that Elisabeth has truly lived a full life, her age is slowly taking its toll on her. Can Elisabeth keep her full, social life when she is only getting older?
